If you are planning to do live screen printing at an event, you need to know what to get ready beforehand. Read on to find out how to prepare for live screen printing.

Live Screen Printing Equipment

The most important equipment to prepare is the press. Use bigger pressers if you are expecting a huge turnout or intend to print a lot.

You'll also need to decide what ink to bring. The first thing to decide is whether you are outside or indoors. If you're going to be outside, you don’t have as much control over the atmosphere as you have in your store. Hence, plastisol is a more forgiving material to use as they are simpler to deal with. Avoid using discharge inks since they tend to have a strong odor. Also, the shirts are not going to cure themselves. A flash dryer is sufficient to fully cure ink so make sure you bring one along.

Apparels

In the most general sense, what shirts to pack and how many to bring is a crucial consideration. Know how many people are expected to attend the event. The most popular sizes are medium and large, so pack enough of them. Smalls and extra-larges are the next bestsellers, so that'll be the second-largest amount you'll bring. Know your audience before deciding on the sizes you'll require. Do you intend to print for a college football tailgate party? You'll mostly require the larger sizes. Are you printing at a trade show? You'll have a variety of attendees; therefore, you'll need a variety of sizes. Bring additional shirts on top of everything else. It is always better to be safe than sorry.
